We’re all a bit religious at the holidays, even when we’re not conscious of it. We seek warmth, deep relationships, and connection with the past as we yearn for a hopeful future.

As I wrestle through my feelings after the 2024 election, I find myself moving through the three-step process I share here because much of my sadness comes from a sense of grief over beliefs that I can no longer confidently hold, at least for this season.
